CATARACT SURGERY - A cataract is a clouding of the crystalline lens of the eye. Surgery is the only method to improve vision that was altered by a cataract. The Center’s ophthalmic surgeons use latest-generation artificial lenses (implants) to correct any vision disorders.

GLAUCOMA SURGERY
Glaucoma is an eye disease that causes progressive atrophy of the optic nerve due to high intraocular pressure. Surgery designed to lower and regulate eye pressure can prevent glaucoma-related eye damage by creating a drainage channel in the sclera.
VITREORETINAL AND MACULAR SURGERY
The Center’s Retina Unit performs surgical treatments to correct intraocular conditions such as retinal detachment, subretinal hemorrhaging, macular holes, diabetic retinopathy and vascular occlusions.

A certified optometrist performs vision tests for eye glasses and contact lenses.
