ENT
Otolaryngology is a specialization concerning illnesses of the ears, nose, sinus cavities and vocal cords.
An analysis of the patient’s medical history, directed
according to his or her specific problems is followed by a detailed
examination of all ENT organs. We use the most modern and
efficient technological resources. Using a camera mounted on a
microscope, optics or fiberscope, the patient can follow the exam on a
screen. The examination can be filmed and photographed.
Videostroboscopy, paired with sound recording, helps us analyze vocal cord problems, typically encountered in heavy smokers, voice professionals and in cases of alcohol abuse.
The ear is the organ of equilibrium, which we investigate in cases of vertigo. We routinely test patients suffering from snoring in the audiometric room.
To provide adequate treatment, we evaluate sinonasal function through a variety of tests:
- examination of nasal permeability (optics, rhinomanometry, etc)
- skin and blood allergy tests
- tests examining the sense of smell, with specific radiological exams if necessary
Our operating room is equipped with leading-edge technology:
- computer-controlled operating guidance system
- radiofrequency system which we have been using for 10 years
- coblation technology
-
sophisticated operating microscope
