Gynecology & Obstetrics

For some 15 years, Clinique La Prairie's gynecology and obstetrics department has been offering a complete range of diagnostic and treatment services in these two fields.

Many general gynecological exams are conducted under the authority of Drs Thierry D. Pache and Igor Martinek, both specialists certified by the Swiss Medical Association:

standard clinical exams with screening
contraception
menstrual cycle problems
incontinence
infectious diseases
cancers
monitoring of normal and pathological pregnancies

Endovaginal and trans-abdominal gynecological ultrasounds as well as pregnancy ultrasounds are done in this department.

Note that most services are covered by the conventional health insurance system.

Furthermore, our practitioners are authorized to provide endocrinology services relating to infertility and menopause and oncological services specific to gynecology (cancers). For regular checkups, additional tests, such as mammograms and hormonal assessments, can also be performed on site.

With vast experience in endoscopic surgery, the doctors at our gynecology department have developed a traditional and minimally invasive surgical platform, at Clinique La Prairie.

Last, surgery for breast diseases is also extensively practiced.
